K-Pop Hottie of the Week: Choi Siwon

Choi Siwon (pronounced Che Shi-won) is our first K-Pop hottie of the week! And what a fantastic way of starting these posts off…

Siwon is a member of Super Junior, a K-Pop band comprised of eleven members, most of who are perfectly yummy. But none surpass Siwon. Practically certified the best-looking member, there’s obvious reasons why. Let’s get a few stats out:

Name: Choi Siwon (first name Siwon, surname Choi)

Date of Birth: 10^th February 1987 (This is his official age. He was actually born 7th April 1986)

Height: 183 cm (6’0”)

Position in band: Visuals (Yes. He’s actually just the face. I mean, he can sing and dance too, but his main purpose is to look hot.)

And he's doing an awesome job.

Siwon was born into a super-rich family, and was basically taught to do all the super-rich stuff you’d expect. He talks polite. He plays piano, and his Chinese calligraphy is beautiful. He knows English– a big thing in Korea.

So what makes him so popular among the Korean girls? He’s tall, for one. And he’s got a fantastic build. And he has a handsome, rather than pretty face. And, y’know, his personality is up there too.

 What is there to say about his personality? He’s generally shy, and when he talks he usually does it in a low, deep voice. But he can be very loud and enthusiastic too. Siwon just isn’t much of a spotlight-seeker, even though it’s always given to him. Really. The other members call him the Prince, and say that he’s like a moving painting. They are really proud of their Siwon. He’s also really… huggy. Really into hugging and kissing the other members. (We think it might be because his childhood was strict and all. Speaking of that, Siwon’s a devout Protestant, and says after his entertainment career is over he’ll become… wait for it… a missionary.)

Yes, this guy is going to be a missionary. This guy.

  Siwon will only talk if the other, more talkative members aren’t there– especially when their sub-group is in China, as his Chinese is the best. And he’s so modest. I can’t ever figure out how, when everyone’s all “Ooh, sexy Siwon” and “Everything Siwon does is like it’s a scene from a movie” (I am not exaggerating with these lines). Every time someone says he’s good-looking, he’ll give a little surprised start, and then smile cutely and bow, saying thank you so genuinely. His modesty is either gold, or he’s a really good actor.

Which, actually, he is. He’s done dramas and movies– successful dramas and movies. Siwon is actually quite acclaimed for his acting. He was in the drama Oh! My Lady, which was a super mega-hit. 

Okay, I’m gonna stop boring you with all my talk and now just start posting pictures, since really, that’s what everyone’s interested in.

Oh, come on, how could I resist this one?

Okay, so every fandom has pairings, right? K-Pop fans are freaking crazy when it comes to pairings. They are way too into them. So I have to at least mention Siwon’s, right?

Siwon×Heechul (Sichul)

There're a few of them actually kissing... but that might be a bit much.

 The standard shy handsome guy and the pretty, outspoken guy. And they’re both into skinship. Can anyone say dream pairing?

Siwon×Donghae (Sihae)

Aww

  They’re good friends, and they’re gorgeous. Reason enough.

Siwon×Kyuhyun, (Wonkyu) or Kyuhyun×Siwon (Kyuwon)

My personal favourite. Simply because I love Kyuhyun

Kyuhyun, as it is, is not much of a skinship guy, but he’s very close to Siwon, and they say Siwon can’t refuse Kyuhyun anything (Kyuhyun’s the youngest member in Super Junior).

Siwon×Han Geng (Sihan)

So cute!

Damn, I love Han Geng, and sometimes when I think about what happened to him I feel like crying. I'm glad he's happy now, but I wish he was still with the rest of the SJ boys... okay, veering off-topic.

Ah, the tragic love story. Han Geng used to be a member of Super Junior, but left because the record label was terrible to him (details in a later post). He and Siwon were really close– Siwon said they were ‘sworn brothers’, thus making their pairing the other big Siwon pairing.

 There're also some smaller ones, but these are really the only ones that matter. But, really, don't let me stop you from finding out more about Siwon!

 

Well, that’s the first K-Pop guy… I’m sorry I couldn’t really convey much of Siwon to you except, y’know, his hotness. Hopefully I’ll do better next week with BIGBANG’S T.O.P.
